Open door was the theme of the Ilorin Convention and Open doors indeed was the experience
as The Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International Nigeria held it’s Third
Regional Convention at the Ilorin Stadium in Ilorin the Capital City of Kwara State
from 8th to 10th of October 2009 with Delegates coming from 9 States of the Country.
The convention which had over 4000 delegates coming from the States of Edo, Delta,
Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Lagos and the host State of Kwara.
It was indeed an awesome visitation of the almighty with the very visible presence
of God in the atmosphere and affecting the City as a whole.
The Convention had three exciting rallies with Gideon Esurua the International Treasurer
serving as the main testifier at the Opening Rally, Rev Idowu Olawuyi took the rally
on the second night and the Closing Rally had Pastor Femi Atoyebi SAN as the Closing
rally speaker. It was indeed a great harvest of souls and anointing as the Lord
ministered to the needs of his people.
The Teacching sessions were equally exciting with Speakers including Dr Gbenga Mokuolu,
Professor Mrs Soetan, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, Dr Mrs Olo Adedeji, Rev Idowu Olawuyi
and Mr Akin Olumodimu.
One of the great features of the convention was the success of the Meal functions
at the Convention.
The convention had four main successful meal functions among them was one dedicated
to the Legal profession in which the National Secretary Ocholi James SAN, was the
main Testidfier. The acting CJ and the cream of the legal profession were present
at this very successful programme.
In addition to this was the gtreat success recorded at the Market Place outreaches
which were held in eateries across Ilorin . A total of 40 market place outreaches
were held during the convention and they brought in an outstanding great harvest.
Total number of mtgs – 40, Breakfast 13, Luncheon 27, Attendance -952, First timer
– 677, Salvation – 279, Holy Ghost Baptism – 49, Membership – 361.
A total of 22 new Chapters are already being prepared for birthing post the Convention. |
